REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
RFP No. PW- H63400-04C
The Nassau County Department of Public Works intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for on-call design services in connection with the following:
On-Call Design Services
Civil Engineering and Site Development
The Department of Public Works desires to retain up to eight (8) Firms to provide “On-Call” design and design-related support services for various engineering projects for the Civil Engineering and Site Development Unit. These services shall include, but are not limited to, the development of studies and recommendations, surveying, design plans, construction estimates and special specifications for roads, bridges, parks, drainage facilities, or various other County infrastructure. These services could also include providing Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, Surveyors, Landscape Architects, AutoCAD Draftsmen, Horticultural Inspectors and Engineering Aides to support the Department’s Civil Engineering and Site Development staff.
Sealed Proposals regarding this project are due on or before 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted.

Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals.

Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional
liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively.
The successful Proposer will be required to comply with the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts” and Local Law 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts”. All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local Law 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002.
All questions regarding this RFP shall be submitted by e-mail and, if deemed necessary will be clarified by addendum issued to all respondents. No questions will be answered verbally. E-mails shall be sent to the attention of Christopher Paggi, P.E., Chief Civil Engineer at cpaggi@nassaucountyny.gov. Proposers should submit their question(s) prior to close of business on Friday February 24, 2023. Violation of these provisions may result in immediate disqualification
