ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by Jenkins Township, Luzerne County, at the Jenkins Township Municipal Building, 46 ^ Main Street, Inkerman, PA 18640 until 3:00 P.M. (local time), February 9, 2022. Received Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Jenkins Township Municipal Building at 7:00 P.M. on February 9, 2022. The Jenkins Township Board of Supervisors will consider the received bids for award at their public meeting on February 9, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. Bids can be submitted for the Jenkins Township Police Building Conversion Project to the Jenkins Township Municipal Building, 46 ^ Main Street, Inkerman, PA 18640 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Bids are invited for the following contracts: CONTRACT # 1 – GENERAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT # 2 – HVAC CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT # 3 – ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT DOCUMENTS are on file and may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $75.00 per Contract Document Set, and $10.00 per each additional Contract Bid Packet at the office of PennEastern Architects, LLC, 165 North Wilkes-Barre Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre, PA, 18702 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Prospective bidders are urged to familiarize themselves with the site and review the scope of work and construction documents. Any contractor who does not do so and submits a bid does so at their own risk. A nonmandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held for all contracts at the 58 Chestnut Street, Jenkins Township, PA 18640 at 10:00 A.M. on January 26, 2022. All Bidding Contractors are requested to attend. BID SECURITY in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for 100% of their bid amount and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of their bid amount within 15 days of the contract being awarded. This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The project is funded by a grant from the Local Share Account (LSA) Program Grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority and all requirements of this Authority are to be met by the Bidders. The successful bid will be required to submit Non- Discrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause which is contained in the Contract Documents. BIDS may be held by Jenkins Township for a period not to exceed Sixty (60) days from the date of the Opening of the Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, prior to awarding the Contract.
