Commonwealth Financing Authority Funded Project Advertisement for bids notice Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and considered by the Historic Lansdowne Theater Corporation on November 5, 2021, at 10:00AM at 31 North Lansdowne Avenue Lansdowne, PA for the remediation of asbestos in the Lansdowne Theater. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: remediation of asbestos, erection of scaffolding and the removal of ductwork and furnace. A complete bid package (Electronically) is available by contacting Charles Shalet at Cshalet@columbusconstructionllc.com A mandatory site visit is scheduled for October 26, 2021, at 10AM. Please have your scaffold erector in attendance. Bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Owner and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of (5%) of the total price bid made payable to the Owner. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a contract surety approved by the Owner. The bidderâs attention is called to the facts that this project is assisted with funding from the Commonwealth Financing Authority and various commonwealth requirements apply as noted in the bid documents, including but not limited to Prevailing Wage and Related Acts and equal opportunity provisions. Award of the Contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities.
