Dear Current Resident:

In compliance with Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) Board of Education Policy and Administrative Regulation regarding the placement of structures on existing school sites, we are notifying you of the School District’s intent to construct a new parking lot with solar carport system at Deerfield Elementary School.

The new parking lot will provide additional parking for the site and school community. The solar carport installation system will be added to produce clean energy, save on energy costs, and provide shading for the school site.

It is the District’s intention to conduct both parking lot and solar installation work during the Summer of 2022.

All interested persons are invited to attend a Public Information Meeting, which will provide information on the work proposed for Deerfield Elementary School. IUSD representatives will be available to answer questions. This meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
