SOUTH MAIN STREET GUIDERAIL REPLACEMENTTOWN OF MARLBOROUGH, CONNECTICUTINVITATION TO BID Sealed Bids for South Main Street Guiderail Replacement will be received by the Town of Marlborough by hard copy at the Issuing Office until 10:00 AM local time on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Received Bids will be opened and read aloud via teleconference open to the public at this time. The bid opening teleconference meeting number is (877) 304-9269 and the access code to listen is 4236945.The Project primarily consists of installation of approximately 600 feet of guiderail. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract with one deductive alternate. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.Bidding Documents are available for free download from the Project’s bidding service webpage. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents that differ from documents available from the Project’s bidding service webpage.No pre-bid conference will be held.The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the Contract Price. The Surety Company shall be licensed in the State of Connecticut and listed on IRS Department Circular 570. A Payment Bond and Payment of Prevailing Wage Rates will be required if Contract is equal or greater than $100,000.Bid Bond is not required.
