New Horizons Village, Inc37 Bliss Memorial RoadUnionville, CT INVITATION TO BID Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received, publicly opened, and announced on behalf of the Town of Farmington and New Horizons Village at 2:00pm on Monday May 17th, 2021 at New Horizons, Inc., 37 Bliss Memorial Road, Unionville, CT, Attn: Ms. Chris Murray. Plans and Specifications can be viewed on-line and are available from ARC Document Solutions, 17 Talcott Notch Road, Farmington, CT. Proposals are to be submitted on the forms provided and in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the appropriate title, “New Horizons Village CDBG Exterior Renovations, Units #66 thru #71â€? to the attention of Ms. Chris Murray. The project scope includes: Installation of new energy efficient windows and doors. Installation of new vinyl siding, soffits, shingle roof, gutters, downspouts and attic insulation. Site Improvements will include new ADA accessible sidewalks, railings and guards. Rear patios will be replaced and a new retaining wall will be constructed. A mandatory pre-bid conference to review the project will be conducted at New Horizons Village, 37 Bliss Memorial Road, Unionville, CT at 11:00 am Monday, April 26th, 2021. This is a federally funded project. Attention of bidders is directed to certain requirements of this contract requiring payment of Davis-Bacon wages; state set-aside and minority and small business compliance and certain other local, state, and federal requirements. A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to New Horizons, Inc. and shall be properly executed by the Bidder. A 100% Performance and Payment Bond will also be required. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS circular 570.
