Town of West Springfield, Massachusetts Park and Recreation Department IFB # 21-0029 INVITATION TO BID The Town of West Springfield invites sealed bids for Cooks Skate Park, West Springfield, MA 01089. These improvements include the replacement of the existing metal ramp skate park with the construction of a new concrete skate park over the existing asphalt pad. Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available on the Town’s website at: https://www.townofwestspringfield.org / government/departments/finance / procurement-bids/bids or at BidNetDirect: https://www.bidnetdirect.com/massachusetts/townofwestspringfield Bids shall be filed in a sealed envelope, bearing the title BID#21-0029 – Cooks Skate Park, delivered personally or by mail, on or before 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 20, 2021 to: Sandra Wrona, Deputy Accountant & Procurement Agent, Town of West Springfield, Municipal Finance Office, 26 Central Street, West Springfield, MA 01089. In addition, prospective bidders have the opportunity to submit their bids electronically via BidNetDirect. There is also a special mailbox set up in the lobby of the Town Hall labeled “bids” for bidders who wish to physically drop off their bids. No bids will be accepted after the above stated date and time. Immediately following that time all bids (paper and electronic) will be publicly opened. If, at the time of the scheduled bid opening, the Municipal Office Building is still closed to the public, due to recent events, no bidders will be allowed to physically attend the bid opening – it will be conducted by remote participation in a Zoom meeting in the following manner: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83689388744 Meeting ID: 836 8938 8744 This project is being publicly bid in compliance with MGL c. 30§39M. This project falls under the requirements of the State of Massachusetts prevailing wage rate law. There is no formal pre-bid walk through scheduled for this project. We encourage all potential bidders to view the site, located at Cooks Park, 471-505 Amostown Road, West Springfield, MA 01089, and submit any follow-up questions before submitting a bid. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the bid amount and made payable to the Town of West Springfield. The Town of West Springfield reserves the right to make no award, to reject any or all bids, to call for re-bids if necessary, or to award to other than the lowest bidder if it is in the best interests of the Town to do so, and to waive any informalities in the bidding procedure.
