Invitation To Bid

The Town of Agawam invites sealed bids in accordance with Ch 30, Sec 39Mended, for furnishing materials and services as needed for the construction of the O’Brien’s Corner Improvement Project in the Town of Agawam A bid package will be available beginning Tuesday June 1st, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Department of Public Works Office, 1000 Suffield Street, Agawam, MA 01001 or by email to Jennifer Bonfiglio at Jbonfiglio@agawam.ma.us. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on June 8, 2021 at 10:00am at the Agawam DPW, 1000 Suffield Street, Agawam, MA 01001. With a site visit to follow. Bids will be received until: 2:30pm on June 24, 2021 at the Agawam DPW, 1000 Suffield Street, Agawam, MA 01001. All prospective bidders must be prequalified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in the requisite category of work in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00, “Prequalification of Bidders”. Prevailing wages apply. Each bidder must submit with the bid a bid deposit equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The bid deposit may be in the form of a certified check, bank/treasurer’s or cashier’s check, or bid bond from a licensed surety company (G.L. c.30, section 39M; c.189, section 44B). The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the contract total.
