Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning September 20, 2021, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30B and other applicable procurement statutes. The City of Springfield, through the DPBRM, is soliciting bids for a vendor to provide regularly scheduled inspections, testing, and test reporting for all of the City’s Fire Alarm Systems in accordance with CMR 780 Chapter 9, NFPA 72, 2002ed, Chapter 10, Sec. 10.4.1 through 10.4.3 and NFPA 25, 2002ed, Chapter 5, Sec 5.3. The services will be performed at various City buildings and locations, as listed in the specifications. The schedule for services is to be determined after the contract is awarded to the successful vendor. The contract value is estimated to be Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) per year. The initial term of the agreement is for one year. The City will also have Two (2) one-year renewal options to be used at the City’s discretion. Only One (1) contract will be awarded for these services. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by September 28, 2021 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
