Invitation to Bid – Shared Streets
Pedestrian Improvements The Town of Southbridge, Massachusetts will receive sealed Bids for the SHARED STREETS PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT. Bids must be received by 11:00 AM local time on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Town Manager’s Office in Town Hall, 41 Elm Street, Southbridge, Massachusetts. Bids must be placed in a sealed envelope and marked “Shared Streets Pedestrian Improvements Bid”. Bids submitted after this time will not be accepted.
The work under this contract consists of constructing new concrete wheelchair ramps, curb extensions, and installation of solar-powered Rapid Flashing Beacons and decorative crosswalk treatments at up to five different locations within the Town. RRFB equipment will be purchased in advance by the Town.
Bidders and sub-contractors must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) in the class of work being performed.
