ADVERTISEMENT TO BID JAMES GETTYS PARKING RECONFIGURATION PROJECT ADAMS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be accepted for the James Gettys Parking Reconfiguration Project until 10:00 AM on April 26, 2021 at the Gettysburg Area School District Business Office, 900 Biglerville Road; Gettysburg, PA 17325, at which time the bids will be opened publicly and read. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope, and clearly marked on the exterior “James Gettys Parking Reconfiguration Project, Adams County, Pennsylvania.” The Project consists of the construction of two porous asphalt parking areas totaling 20,400 s.f., .1,640 s.f. of sidewalk, 775 l.f. of curbing, and all necessary excavation, stone bedding, curbing, line striping, conduit excavation, landscaping, and related improvements. Copies of bid documents may be obtained at the Engineer’s office for a fee of $30.00 per set, non-refundable. Digital versions of the specifications are also available for a fee of $5.00 per CD, non-refundable, from the same place. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount which shall be in the form of a cashier’s check, bank check or bid bond (on approved form). Bonds shall be issued by a company licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the bond must state Pennsylvania licensure. After Bid opening, the Bidder may withdraw its Bid only by complying with applicable Federal, State, or local laws and regulations. This project is subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The wage rates applied to this project are in accordance with the Wage Rate Determination included within the Contract Documents. Once received, bids shall remain open for the period provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Upon award of the low bid, the successful bidder will be required to supply a performance bond and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent ( 100%) of the contract amount, certificates of insurance, and the Public Works Employment Verification form. Gettysburg Area School District hereby reserves the right, which it is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid.
