REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
The Roslyn Landmark Society (RLS) is seeking Price Proposals and Bidder’s Qualifications Forms from interested and experienced Contractors regarding Excavation / Foundations for the Stabilization and Restoration of the historic Roslyn Grist Mill – 1347 Old Northern Boulevard, Roslyn, NY, 11576.
Submission of completed Price Proposals and Bidder’s Qualification Forms shall be received either by e-mail or in sealed envelopes until 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. E-mail bids to be sent to the attention of Roslyn Landmarks Society at
rlsinfo@optonline.net or sealed bids delivered to the RLS offices – 36 Main Street, Roslyn NY 11576. Proposals shall be kept valid for a period of 30 days after bid due date and RLS reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject all submitted proposals. There will be a public bid opening following receipt of all bids via Zoom link and qualified bidders will be notified about Bid Opening details by RLS.

A site-visit to review existing conditions and constraints will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the site; attendance is strongly recommended.
The restoration work on the Roslyn Grist Mill is funded in part by a grant administered by the NY State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. All work must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and must be approved by the NY State Historic Preservation Office. Attention is called to the requirements of the State Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule and all other applicable Federal, State, and local requirements including affirmative action requirements. NYS-certified Minority/Women’s Business Enterprises are encouraged to apply.
