NOTICE TO BIDDERS
MANHASSET GARBAGE DISTRICT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that sealed proposals will be received by the Commissioner of Solid Waste Management of the Town of North Hempstead at the Town Hall, 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset, New York, on behalf of the Manhasset Garbage District, which will be publicly opened and read on the 25th day of March, 2021, at 10:30 A.M. and the contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable for the collection, removal and disposal of acceptable waste and recyclables. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bidders and members of the public are not permitted to physically attend the bid opening. Instead, the bid opening will be publicly livestreamed on the Town of North Hempstead website at https://www.northhempsteadny.gov/townboardlive at the date and time for the bid opening stated in this notice.
Instructions to Bidders, including Bidders Qualification Statement, Proposals, Form of Contract, Insurance Certificate and Prevailing Rate Schedule for each district may be examined or obtained at the Office of the Town Clerk, 200 Plandome Road, Manhasset, New York, after March 2, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. and no later than 4:45 P.M., March 24, 2021. In addition, the foregoing documents will be available beginning on March 2, 2021 on the website of the Town of North Hempstead at
https://www.northhempsteadny.gov/bids.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, payable to the Town of North Hempstead, or a bid bond in the same amount and in such form as is acceptable to the Town Attorney. The Town of North Hempstead also reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid and to reject any or all bids. The Town of North Hempstead also reserves the right not to enter into any contract as a result of this bid invitation. Bids may be mailed or delivered to the Town Clerk, 200 Plandome Road, Manhasset, New York 11030, provided the Bid is actually received by the Town Clerk prior to the time of public opening.
