Sealed bids for the Former Crown Dykman Site Remedial Construction Project (“Project”) will be received by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), Division of Management and Budget Services, Bureau of Expenditures [625 Broadway, 10th Floor, Albany, New York, 12233-5027], until the time of 1:00 PM, Eastern Daylight Time, on the date of May 11, 2021.

The Project involves the remedial construction of the Former Crown Dykman site, located within the City of Glen Cove, Nassau County, New York. These remedial construction activities include, but are not necessarily limited to, building abatement and demolition; excavation, characterization and disposal of contaminated soils; excavation backfill and passive chemical injection system installation; abandonment of existing monitoring wells; installation of new monitoring and injection wells; construction phase water control and treatment; chemical oxidation at the source area and injection wells; and site restoration. Work is shown and specified in the Contract Drawings and Contract Documents.

The estimated range for this work is: $2,500,000 to $5,000,000.

Contract Documents are available in electronic format at no charge. Electronic copies of non-biddable Contract Document drawings, specifications, proposal forms, addenda, and a separate Limited Site Data Document may be downloaded from the Department website link http://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/59233.html. Proposals will be accepted only from bidders who attend the Pre-Bid Conference. All proposals must be made on the official proposal form(s) and enclosed in the envelope which will be provided by the Department at the Pre-Bid Conference. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit or a bid bond in the amount of five-percent (5%) of Proposers bid amount. All Bidders must attend the Pre-Bid Conference to receive special requirements and/or instruction for the Contract. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Former Crown Dykman site at 66 Herb Hill Road, Glen Cove, New York, starting at 11:00 AM, Eastern Daylight Time. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY AS A CONDITION OF BIDDING.
