PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS
INVITATION FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Oyster Bay Housing Authority, at 115 Central Park Road, Plainview, New York 11803 at 10:30 AM on February 28, 2023, for all labor, materials and work to be performed under the following contract:Plumbing Improvements at Glen Cove Road and Lexington Avenue
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 115 Central Park Road, Plainview, with a site visit to follow.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a DEPOSIT in the form of certified check, cashier’s check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the Bid. Such Bid Bond shall be satisfactory to the Housing Authority executed and sworn to by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New York, and shall be required to qualify in the sum equal to the value of the work as stated in the proposal of the Bidder for whom it is to act as Surety, shall insure the Oyster Bay Housing Authority, in an amount not les then five (5%) of the amount of the base bid proposal.
Copies of Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents may be obtained at the Town of Oyster Bay Housing Authority office on or after January 31, 2023, upon payment of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each set as deposit to guarantee the safe return thereof. Only one set will be loaned to each bidder. Checks should be made payable to the Town of Oyster Bay Housing Authority.Any bidder returning such set within thirty (30) days following award of contract covered by such Plans and Specifications or the rejection of the Bid of such person or corporation and in good condition, will be refunded the deposit. If the documents are not returned within the specified time, and in good condition, the entire payment will be forfeited.
Bids must be wholly filled out on the prepared Bid Forms furnished with the Contract Documents, and must be contained in a sealed opaque envelope plainly marked on the outside by the title of the project to which they are relating, the name of the Bidder and his residence or business address, the number of the Contract and the nature of the work as set forth in the Instruction to Bidders.
The Town of Oyster Bay Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids.
