NOTICE TO BIDDERS Newtown Township Notice is hereby given that Newtown Township will receive bids online via the PennBid Program (www.PennBid.net) until 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 30, 2022 for the following project: Line Restoration Projects – Work includes crosswalk, stop bar, and traffic marking striping at intersections along Route 3 and Route 252, intersection markings at Winding Way and St. Albans Avenue, line striping and gore markings on Clyde Lane, double yellow line striping on Ellis Avenue, Winding Way, St. Albans Avenue, Brookside Road and Sawmill Road, and school zone markings in three separate areas on Malin Road, Media Line Road and West Chester Pike. An alternate bid will also be included. All bidding documents will be available online at no cost at www.PennBid.net beginning at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Bids must include a certified check or bid bond, with corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in the amount of ten percent of the bid, all as posted through PennBid. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. All bids received will be opened online on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 10:00 am at 1060 Andrew Drive, Suite 140, West Chester, PA and referred to the Township for award. Questions may be submitted through PennBid on or before Noon on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 Responses will be provided to all registered plan holders. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, requirements for a one-year maintenance bond and the E-Verify Public Works Employment Verification Act. Newtown Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids thereof and waive any informalities in the bidding, as they deem in the interest of the Township.
