INVITATION TO BID Sealed Bids for the Public Works Garage Roof Replacement shall be received by Caln Township online via PennBid program until February 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM (prevailing time). Bids will be reviewed and publicly announced at the regular meeting of the Caln Township Board of Commissioners meeting of February 23, 2023 at 7:30 PM. Bid results will be posted online at www.PennBid.net following review at this meeting. Bidding Documents and solicitation details are available online, at no cost, at www.PennBid.net. The successful Bidder who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay “PennBidâ€? a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule. Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. The work generally consists of removing and replacing the roof of the Public Works department maintenance building, including but not limited to removal and replacement (in kind) of exiting metal roof and trim, installation of new snow guards, new drip edge and double-bubble between roof panels and purlins; Incorporation of any necessary ventilation; Installation of new neoprene flange collars on vent pipes; Installation of new textured roof panels and trim; and calking of all flashings. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The project documents contain provisions regarding the applicability of PA Prevailing Wages. CALN TOWNSHIP reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof and to accept any Bids, which in its judgment is for the best interest of the Township.
