BID NOTICE The Brandywine Red Clay Alliance (BRC) will be accepting bids for a stream restoration project on Plum Run in East Bradford Township, Chester County, PA. Work will involve streambank grading and stabilization, in-stream structures, erosion and sediment control measures, per guidelines in the design documents. Contractors must have and include in their bid packages a demonstrated experience in knowledge and construction of successful stream restoration projects incorporating fluvial geomorphology (FGM). The Plum Run Stream Restoration Phase 3 bid package can be obtained starting on July 26, 2021 and is available on the BRC website: http://www.brandywineredclay.org/watershed-conservation/red-streams-blue/plum-run/ . A mandatory site showing is scheduled for August 4, 2021, at 9:00 A.M., prevailing time, at the project site (corner of Tigue Road and Lenape Road, West Chester, PA 19382, GPS coordinates: 39.931408, -75.616063). This contract is subject to PA prevailing wage. The successful bidder will be required to supply a payment and performance bond in 100% of the bid amount. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, clearly marked on the outside with “Bid on the Plum Run Stream Restoration Phase 3 Project,â€? and be received by 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on August 20, 2021, at the BRC office, located at 1760 Unionville-Wawaset Road, West Chester, PA 19382.Bid opening will occur on August 20, 2021, at 10:05 A.M., prevailing time, at the BRC office. BRC expects to award the contract to the successful bidder no later than August 30, 2021; notice of the date, time and place of bid award will be announced at the bid opening. BRC intends to award the contact to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. BRC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or waive irregularities, nonconformities or technicalities in any bid if BRC, in its sole discretion, determines such action to be in the best interest of BRC.
