NOTICE TO BIDDERS Borough of West Chester Notice is hereby given that Borough of West Chester will receive bids online via the PennBid Program (www.PennBid.net) until 10 AM on August 6, 2021 for the: Everhart Park Playground– sitework contact including grading, stormwater drainage, ADA walking path. Playground equipment to be installed by a separate contract. All bidding documents will be available online at no cost at www.PennBid.net beginning at 11:00 AM on July 24, 2021. Bids must include a certified check or bid bond, with corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in the amount of ten percent of the bid, all as posted through PennBid. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids will be opened online and referred to the Borough for Award. An abstract of the bids will be available to bidders on PennBid at the date and time that the bids are due. Questions may be submitted through PennBid on or before Noon on August 3, 2021. Responses will be provided to all registered plan holders. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packages, particularly to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, requirements for a one year maintenance bond and the E-Verify Public Works Employment Verification Act. Project is being financed in part by grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority and the County of Chester. The contractor shall comply with requirements of the grants. A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the Borough Hall and via Teams at 10:00 AM on July 30, 2021.
