INVITATION TO BID Privately submitted, sealed electronic Bids for the Avon Grove Charter School – State Road – Unit Ventilator Renovations, West Grove, London Grove Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, will be received by the Avon Grove Charter School, via PennBid until 2:30 p.m. December 3, 2021. All received proposals will be publicly opened and read at Avon Grove Charter School, 110 E State Road, West Grove, PA 19390 at 3:00 pm., December 3, 2021. The project consists of providing and installing new mechanical equipment in various locations of the existing building. Mechanical Construction contract includes replacing unit ventilators and UV shelving, replacing gravity vents, new condenser units to connect to unit ventilators, new roof top units with ductwork for installation in new and existing HVAC equipment, and new HVAC web-based control systems. Electrical Construction contract includes new electrical service upgrade with primary and secondary service ductbanks, outdoor utility transformer vault, new switchboards, and branch circuit power for all new HVAC systems. General Construction contract includes installation of roof curbs, equipment supports, structural reinforcing of roof, ceiling modifications for the running of ductwork, condensate lines, electrical infrastructure, and replacing classroom casework. Plumbing contract includes sink replacements associated with casework replacement. Separate bids will be required on a lump sum basis for the following multiple construction contracts: General Trades, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical. Bidding Documents, which will be made available on October 22, 2021, are available at no cost on PennBid (www.pennbid.net). A satisfactory corporate surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid together with the aggregate sum of all additive alternates. The surety shall name as payee or obligee the Avon Grove Charter School. If bidder secures bonding by a certified check, certified bank treasurer’s check, bank cashier’s check or other physical bonding, such materials shall be submitted by the bid due date and time to the Avon Grove Charter School, 110 E State Road, West Grove Pa. Address all materials to the attention of Donna Archer, Chief Financial Officer. Notice is hereby given that the project is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. All proposals shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after bid opening date, unless delayed due to required approvals of another governmental agency, sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all irregularities, mistakes, omissions or informalities relative thereto. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held November 1, 2021, at 2:30 pm., State Road Campus, 110 E State Rd, West Grove, PA 19390 for the purpose of reviewing the project. A supervised tour of the site will be conducted immediately after the Pre-Bid meeting. Unescorted inspections are not permitted.
