NOTICE INVITATION TO BID The Bristol Township School District, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, solicits SEALED BIDS for the following project: Harry S Truman High School Softball Field Improvements Sealed bid proposals, addressed to Joshua Sweigard, Business Manager, must be clearly marked on the outside with the bidder’s name and name of project bid, and are due at the Bristol Township School District, 5 Blue Lake Road, Levittown, PA 19057 by 10:00 AM (prevailing time) Friday, October 29, 2021 at which time they will be publicly opened and read in a virtual setting. The link to attend the virtual opening will be provided to bidders prior to this date. Faxed bids will not be accepted. No award of the contract will be made at the bid opening. A non-mandatory Pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Bidders will meet in the parking lot, adjacent to the softball fields, of the Harry S Truman High School located at 3001 Green Ln, Levittown, PA, 19057. A brief meeting will be held, followed by a tour of the project area. CDC Guidelines will be followed. Social distancing requirements will be followed. Attendance at the pre-bid is not mandatory but highly recommended. Sealed bid proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, certified bank treasurer’s check, bank cashier’s check, or bid bond in the form included with the bidding documents. A satisfactory corporate surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid together with the aggregate sum of all additive alternates. The surety shall name as payee or obligee the Bristol Township School District. Checks or bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after the contract has been awarded, or the bids rejected. The successful bidder’s check or bond shall be forfeited to the School District. All bids must be accompanied by Non-Collusion Affidavit, Contractor’s Qualification Statement, and bid Security in accordance with the Bid Documents. Bids must remain in force for sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening and may be rejected any time prior to the expiration of said date. Notice is hereby given that the Bristol Township School District Truman High School Softball Field Improvements project for which construction proposals are being solicited hereby is a construction project constructed by a public entity constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates and other applicable Acts. All proposals shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after bid opening date, unless delayed due to required approvals of another governmental agency, sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities, defects, errors, omissions, mistakes or irregularities in proposals, to reject any or all proposals or parts thereof and to make awards as may be deemed in its best interest.
