PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF BEVERLY ELLIOT ST AT ECHO AVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT BID NO. 21-022 The City of Beverly Department of Public Works, through the Mayor of Beverly Massachusetts, invites sealed bids for a project that includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to reconstruct the intersection of Elliot Street at Echo Avenue. The proposed improvements includes a new traffc signal system, cement concrete sidewalks, cement concrete wheelchair ramps, granite curbing, as well as pavement markings, signage, landscaping, and other incidental items necessary to complete the work shown on the plans and specifcations. Sealed bids shall be submitted in strict conformance with the bid documents and addressed to Purchasing Agent, 191 Cabot Street, Beverly, MA 01915 until 11:00 A.M. prevailing time on August 12, 2021. Inquiries regarding this bid are to be directed to David Gelineau, Purchasing Agent, dgelineau@beverlyma.gov Specifcations may be obtained at the Procurement Offce after 10:00 A.M. on July 28, 2021, by emailing dgelineau@ beverlyma.gov or at https://www.beverlyma.gov/Bids.aspx . There will be no pre-bid meeting. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5-percent of the Bid. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Construction Performance Bond and a 100-percent Construction Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the City. Complete instructions for fling Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing Wages, as determined under M.G.L. c. 149, § 26-27H shall apply on this project. Materials, equipment and supplies used on this project are exempt from sales tax to the extent provided by M.G.L. c. 64H, § 6(f). The Project is expected to commence on or about September 7, 2021 and be completed substantially completed no later than November 15, 2021. The Project value is estimated to be $365,000. Bidders shall be pre-qualifed by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in Highway Construction up to the estimated Contract value of $365,000.
