PUBLIC NOTICE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER Beaver, Pennsylvania REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS SNOW REMOVAL SEASONS 2021-2026 For SITE AREA 1 – AMBRIDGE, SITE AREA 2 – MONACA/ALIQUIPPA, SITE AREA 3 – BEAVER FALLS, SITE AREA 4 – NEW BRIGHTON, ROCHESTER, FREEDOM AND BEAVER AREA, SITE AREA 5 – MIDLAND The Housing Authority of the County of Beaver, a recipient of federal assistance through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, hereby gives public notice of its intent to utilize a competitive negotiation process, in accordance with 24 CFR 85.36, for the procurement of Snow Removal for the 2021-2026 Seasons, the scope of which shall include those services associated with the operations and management of all housing programs administered within its operational jurisdiction. Interested Parties are invited to submit a proposal for this contract to Housing Authority of the County of Beaver no later than 10:00 AM on October 13, 2021. Interested Parties MUST obtain copies of the documents from the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER by depositing $50.00 in the form of a check made payable to the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER, for each set of documents so obtained. DEPOSITS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. Request for Proposal will be available on September 15, 2021 at the Housing Authority of the County of Beaver, 300 State Avenue, Beaver, Pennsylvania 15009. A MANDATORY Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held at Morado Dwellings, Community Room, 4th Avenue & 43rd Street, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania 15009 on September 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Proposals will be evaluated, and the firms whose proposal is most advantageous to the Housing Authority of the County of Beaver will be selected. The work to be performed under this contract is subject Section 3, a provision of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. The purpose of Section 3 is to ensure that preference for employment, training, and contracting opportunities generated from the expenditure of certain HUD funds is directed to local low-and very low-income persons, particularly those who receive federal housing assistance, and businesses that are owned by or substantially employ such persons.
