ROAD MATERIALS & SERVICES
The Town of Douglas, Highway Department, requests SEPARATE sealed bids for
CRACK SEALING, DRY SCREENED SAND, PROCESSED GRAVEL, LINE PAINTING, TREE REMOVAL AND ROADSIDE BRUSHCUTTING.
BIDDERS ON CRACK SEALING MUST BE PRE-QUALIFIED BY THE MASSACHUSETTS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT AND HAVE SUBMITTED THEIR PREQUALIFICATION FORM BY THE TIME OF BID OPENING.
Bid documents will be available beginning May 3, 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions bid packages will be available through email only. To request a bid package please email the Highway Administrative Assistant at mmello@douglas-ma.gov.
The Town of Douglas reserves the right to reject any and all bids in the best interest of the Town. Wage rates are subject to M.G.L., Ch. 149, S 26-260 inclusive, along with a minority employee percentage rate of not less than 5%.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the Municipal Center is currently closed to the public but bids can be mailed, placed in the Municipal Center drop box located at the front of the building or dropped off 15 minutes prior to the bid opening in the Board of Selectmen’s office. The bid opening will still take place while adhering to social distancing practices.
Bids should be sealed and clearly marked in the lower left hand corner with the number of the specific items bid on listed. All bids for the Town of Douglas, Highway Department will be received by the Executive Administrator, Town of Douglas, 29 Depot Street, Douglas, MA 01516, until 10 AM, June 3, 2021, at which time and place all proposals will be publicly opened and read.
