INVITATION TO BID Radnor Township is soliciting bids for the Willows Park Water Main Replacement including construction of new 6-inch diameter Class 52 ductile iron fire service line in combined trench with a new 2-inch diameter HPDE pipe domestic potable water service line, construction of two (2) Fire Hydrants, construction of new Service Connections to the existing Cottage and Mansion, construction of a dual service meter pit in accordance with Aqua standards and connect to the new services installed by Aqua at the Darby Paoli Road right-of-way, directionally drill approximately 157 LF of 6-inch and 2-inch fire and domestic service, and complete all required pavement and vegetative restoration. The award date for this project is tentatively scheduled for Monday, December 13, 2021. The project must be completed no later than 90 days after notice to proceed. The Township will not accept bids from any firm/corporation that are currently in litigation with the Township. This is a prevailing wage project. In the event of a delay to the project completion terms as per the Schedule for which Contractor is solely responsible, Contractor shall pay Liquidated Damages to Radnor Township at a rate of $880 per day of delay for every day beyond the 90 days for allowed for project completion. A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid is required. Bid security shall be in the form of either a Bond issued by a corporate surety approved by the Secretary of Insurance to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or a certified check or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, for any cause permitted by law, as it deems in the best interest of the Township.
