NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by the Borough Council of Frackville until 4:00 p.m. on April 13, 2022 at the Frackville Borough Municipal Building, 42 South Center Street, Frackville, PA 17931 for the following: “2022 Bituminous Paving” on various streets in the Borough of Frackville, Schuylkill County as follows: 751 SY of 1 1/2″ Curb Line Taper Milling 4′ Wide 111 SY of Full Width Milling 13 Tons of Bituminous Wearing Course with 9.5mm for Bituminous Build-up 816 Tons Bituminous Wearing Course with 9.5mm at 180 lb/sy All materials must meet PENNDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards, bidders need to be PENNDOT prequalified. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Borough. Proposal forms, specifications and bid information can be obtained at the Brenda Deeter, Secretary at 570-874-3860, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Pre-Bid meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 5, 2022 at the Municipal Office located at 42 South Center Street, Frackville, PA 17931 all interested bidders should attend. This is not a mandatory meeting however, this is the only field view to be conducted by the Municipality and only questions presented at this meeting will be addressed prior to award unless the Municipality feels additional items or explanations need to be presented. After the pre-bid meeting these will be in the form of a written notice to all bidders. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Frackville Borough. The successful bidder for the “2022 Bituminous Paving” project will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. All bids will be opened and read publicly at approximately 5:30 p.m. on April 13, 2022 at the Borough Work Session to be held at the Borough Hall and pending review presented to Borough Council for action at the regularly scheduled Council Meeting on April 13, 2022 at approximately 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows. The Borough Council of Frackville reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough.
