Washington D.C. – Employers in the United States have added the most jobs in the last three months per ADP report
In September 2021, private enterprises in the United States recruited 568 thousand people, the most in three months, compared to a downward revised 340 thousand in August and exceeding market forecasts of a 428 thousand increase.
The leisure and hospitality sector created the most jobs (266 thousand), followed by education and health (66 thousand), professional and business (61 thousand), trade, transportation, and utilities (54 thousand), financial activities (22 thousand), and information technology (22 thousand) (11 thousand).

Manufacturing (49 thousand), construction (46 thousand), and natural resources and mining (102 thousand) all added jobs to the goods-producing sector (7 thousand).
Companies with 500 or more employees added the most jobs (390,000), followed by medium-sized (115,000) and small businesses (63 thousand).
