ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS OWNER: SEWER AUTHORITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PITTSTON BIDS TO BE SUBMITTED ONLINE VIA THE PENNBID PROGRAM (www.PennBid.net) Separate sealed bids for: SUSCON SEWER SETTLEMENT, SUSCON ROAD TRENCH PLUGS & OUTLET DRAIN Will be received online by the Sewer Authority of the Township of Pittston via the PennBid program (www.PennBid.net) until 11:00 A.M. prevailing time, Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Bids will be publicly announced at the Authority’s special meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. prevailing time. Without intending to limit or restrict the volume of Work required, the project includes but is not limited to the following: Install concrete encasement and trench plugs for 2 existing 8″ SDR-35 PVC sewer mains and installation of twin 6″ PEP outlet pipes, maintenance of traffic and related work. The Specifications and Drawings are available online at no cost at www.PennBid.net. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the Pittston Township Municipal Building, 421 Broad Street, Pittston, PA 18640. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The Bid Security shall be made payable to the Sewer Authority of the Township of Pittston. All Bid Bonds must be accompanied by a Power of Attorney or suitable letter of commitment from a licensed surety company as described in the Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. PREVAILING WAGES: Attention is called to the fact that payment of prevailing wages will not be required on this project. Except as permitted by law, the Owner shall Award the Contract to the Lowest Responsible Bidder or reject all Bids within sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening; and no bidder may withdraw his Bid before the expiration of such 60-day period. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or portion thereof, and to waive any informalities and to accept any bid that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Authority.
