ADVERTISEMENT FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS FOR THE YEAR 2023 CITY OF MANCHESTER DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION MANCHESTER-BOSTON REGIONAL AIRPORT MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE The City of Manchester, Department of Aviation (hereinafter “the Airport”), will accept Pre-qualification Statements from contractors interested in bidding on upcoming construction projects at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport during calendar year 2023. The projects for which Pre-qualification Statements are being accepted are described below. Project descriptions are representative of the types of projects the Airport is considering at this time and/or other similar projects that may be initiated during this construction season. Contractors who qualify for specific projects shall be considered qualified for any projects the Airport deems to be similar in nature. FY 2023 Parking Garage Repairs / Maintenance Pre-Qualification Statement Submittal Date: March 1, 2023 This project is expected to include overhead concrete ceiling repairs; cathodic corrosion protection, epoxy crack injection; concrete deck joint line repairs, elastomeric sealants and concrete coatings; repair of precast double tee ends; application of traffic-bearing topping coatings at joint lines and other areas, and other miscellaneous repairs as directed. Project will take place in an active parking garage and will require coordination, traffic control, and protection of parked vehicles from dust and debris. Cost is approximated at $500,000 to $750,000 depending on final scope of work. Airport Terminal HVAC Equipment Replacements Pre-Qualification Statement Submittal Date: March 1, 2023 This project consists of the Design-Build replacement of heating ventilation and cooling (HVAC) equipment that is located in various areas of the Airport terminal building and the terminal access walkway. The D-B project scope is anticipated to include design / procurement / replacement of 3 large air handling units (AHUs) that provide HVAC to the terminal building and 5 roof top units (RTUs) that provide HVAC to the terminal access walkway. The AHUs are located on the terminal roof and service 129,000 SF of terminal space and the RTUs service 17,600 SF of terminal walkway space. The existing equipment age ranges between 20 and 30 years old and will be replaced by new more energy efficient equipment. The project also includes the replacement of the existing building management system and a specialized air conditioning unit for the Airport’s IT room. The approximate project cost range is anticipated to be between $5,000,000 and $6,000,000 depending on the final scope of work. Contract requirements related to Federal funding will apply. Miscellaneous Building Improvements Pre-Qualification Statement Submittal Date: March 1, 2023 Miscellaneous Building Improvement projects to include improvements, construction and utility construction/relocation within the Airline Terminal or other Airport owned buildings. Schedule and scope are dependent on operational need. Estimated cost for each project is not anticipated to exceed $400,000. Contract requirements related to Federal funding may apply. Terminal Roofing Replacement Pre-Qualification Statement Submittal Date: March 1, 2023 This project will include removal of existing rubber roofing, replacement of insulation and flashing where required and installation of new rubber roofing. The contract shall include a 20-year warranty on any new roofing. This will be a partial replacement of the existing 25-year-old terminal roofing. Work will be on the secure side of the Airport and all workers will require security clearances and must be badged. The project cost range is anticipated to be between $400,000 and $500,000. Only pre-qualified contractors will be afforded the opportunity to bid on Airport projects requiring Pre-qualification. Product/Material suppliers and subcontractors are not required to file for pre-qualification. Contractors may apply for pre-qualification for any one or more of these projects. Prequalification Statements should be submitted to the Airport as soon as practical and before the close of business on the dates indicated in the projects listing above at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, One Airport Road, Suite 300, Manchester, New Hampshire 03103 Attention: Pre-Qualification Statements. The Airport may accept or reject, at its sole discretion, any Pre-qualification Statements received which are incomplete or lack sufficient detail for consideration. Individual projects will not be re-advertised if they are adequately represented in this legal notice. It is the sole responsibility of the Contractor to be prequalified within the timeframe stated above. Pre-qualified contractors will be notified of all projects for which they have been pre-qualified to bid.
