BID NOTICE Sealed bids for a one year contract for equipment with operator and laborer to perform routine public sewer and water system installation, maintenance and repair of existing system by use of mini excavator with operator, dump truck with operator, tamper with operator, and laborer will be accepted by the Nicholson Borough Authority (hereinafter, “Authority”) at its office located at 402 Main Street, PO Box 256, Nicholson, Pennsylvania 18446 until the time of the formal bid opening to be held on December 7, 2021 at 5:00PM in the conference room of the aforementioned facility. Bid envelopes shall be clearly marked: “Equipment with Operator and Laborer Bid”. Bids will be acted upon at a public meeting of the Authority on December 7, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the conference room of the aforementioned facility. Work included in this bid consists of periodic, as needed, excavation, pipe installation, repair and replacement pursuant to terms contained in the Bidding Documents. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Authority office at the above address. Copies of the Bidding Documents are also available in an electronic pdf format through e-mail by making a written request for e-mail copies on or before December 1, 2021 the written request for electronic copies must include an accurate e-mail address. The Authority is not responsible for lost or undelivered e-mail and the bidder is urged to report the not receipt of e-mailed documents to the Authority on or before December 6, 2021. Except for Bids properly withdrawn prior to the opening of Bids, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid until sixty days after the date of opening of Bids. The Authority reserves the right to reject all bids and not award the contract, to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities or informalities in Bids received if it deems it in its best interest to do so.
