NOTICE TO BIDDERS OWNER: BOROUGH OF SPRING CITY Sealed Proposals will be received by the Borough of Spring City, at the Borough Hall, 6 South Church Street, Spring City, PA 19475, until 11:00 AM, prevailing time on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, for the MS-4 CREEK RESTORATION PROJECT. Any Bids received after 11:00 AM will be subject to rejection. Proposals will be opened and publicly read aloud at approximately 11:05 AM on the above date at the above address for the following work: Clearing and Grubbing; Tree Removal and Disposal; Furnish and install 21 new deciduous trees and 40 Various types of shrubs; Reshape existing Stream Bed and Side Slopes; Fine Grading and Seeping; Provide E&S Controls during Construction as shown on attached Plans. The Bids will be reviewed and a decision to either Award or Reject any or all bids or portions thereof will be made by Borough Council at their regularly scheduled meeting to be held at 7:30 PM on Monday, June 7, 2021. The Contract Documents may be examined at the Borough Hall Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm. Bidders must contact the Borough Hall at 610-948-3606 to schedule examination and/or pick up due to Covid19 Restrictions. A set of Contract Documents may be obtained upon payment of $75.00 made payable to Borough of Spring City. The Contract Documents need not be returned after the bid opening and payment will not be refunded. The minimum prevailing wages included in the Contract Documents shall be paid to all employees on this Project in accordance with PA Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961m P.L.987. Each Bid must be submitted on forms included in the documents and must be accompanied with a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Certified Check, Money Order or by a Bid Bond with Corporate Surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid submitted. All Bid security shall be made payable to or naming the Borough of Spring City as oblige. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing Bids and evaluating the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding Contract. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid before the expiration of such sixty (60) day period. All work included in this project must be completed within Sixty (60) calendar days. Liquidated damages will be applied at the rate of $300.00 per calendar day for each day needed to complete the Project beyond the Sixty (60) calendar days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or portions thereof due to budget restraints and to award the Bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner.
