CITY OF SHELTON CORRECTION TO BID # 42-15 EXTENSION OF CONSTITUTION BOULEVARD WEST Sealed Bids (TWO copies and one thumb drive) must be delivered and received at the office of the Central Purchasing Agent, Room 200-B, 54 Hill Street, Shelton, CT 06484 BEFORE 11:00 AM local time on WEDNESDAY, November 10, 2021 and publicly opened and read aloud at 1:00 PM on such date in room 104 City Hall, Shelton, CT. Bid Opening complies with Covid-19 restrictions. The roadway extension will require subgrade preparation including rock removal and road construction including drainage and utilities for a length of 3,100 feet. The roadway project will be constructed to the City of Shelton and Connecticut Department of Transportation Standards. The project will be subject to bidding and award requirements of the City of Shelton. The Contract Documents will be available on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at no cost ONLY at the City of Shelton website, which is http://cityofshelton.org/purchasing/ The City of Shelton strongly recommends at least one representative attend the pre-bid meeting. The date, time and location of the pre-bid meeting are changed to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Shelton City Hall auditorium, 54 Hill St, Shelton, CT. Bids submitted should be in a sealed envelope and labeled (using the mailing labels included in the bid packet) with the name and address of the Bidder, the date and time of the Bid opening and the words “Bid for the Extension of Constitution Boulevard West”. The minimum rates to be paid labor of the various classifications on this project shall be in accordance with current schedule of Prevailing Wages as established by the State of Connecticut, Department of Labor, Wage and Workplace Standards Division and with the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, Davis-Bacon Wage Determinations. Updated Davis-Bacon Wage Determinations are available at www.access.gpo.gov/davisbacon/ct.html. The selected Contractor will be required to have and maintain an active registration with SAMs. The selected Contractor must also not appear on an excluded parties list or be subject to debt offset within their SAMs entity registration. Surety Company Bond, on a form furnished in the Contract Documents, for at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total of the (Sum of Base Bid and Add-Alternate Bid), must accompany each proposal. The project will also require a 100% performance and payment bond. All bonding companies used on the project shall be listed on the US Treasury Circular 570. The City of Shelton reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in bidding if it is determined to be in the best interest of the City of Shelton. Bids may be held by the City of Shelton for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.
