INVITATION TO BID HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER Beaver, Pennsylvania The HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER will receive sealed bids, in duplicate, until 9:30 AM. (local time) on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the office of the Housing Authority of the County of Beaver, James F. Tress Administration Building, 300 State Street (Vanport), Beaver, Pennsylvania at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 A.M for the following: CONTRACT TITLE: WASTE COMPACTION REPLACEMENT Contract #1 12 Public Housing “Elderly Sites 1. Joseph Edwards Elderly, 330 Connecticut Avenue, Rochester 2. Eleanor Roosevelt Apartments, 740 Sheffield Avenue, Aliquippa 3. George Werner Apartments, 599 8th Avenue, Freedom 4. Thomas Bishop Apartments, 1023 Sixth Avenue, New Brighton 5. Gordon Camp Elderly, 225 Jefferson Street, Rochester 6. Ambridge Towers, 500 Beaver Road, Ambidge 7. Brodhead Apartments, 712 12th Street, Beaver Falls 8. Monacatootha Apartments, 105 4th Street, Monaca 9. King Beaver Apartments, 680 Canal Street, Beaver 10. Sheffield Towers, 100 Superior Avenue, Aliquippa 11. Corak Towers, 500 Beaver Avenue, Midland 12. A.C. Edgecombe Apartments Contract #2 Section 8 Multi-family Francis Farmer Apartments, 274 Friendship Circle, Beaver Contract #3 – Tax Credits Westbridge Apartments, 725 Riverside Drive, Beaver Dawes Manor Apartments, 1450 Third Avenue, New Brighton Beaver Village Apartments, 699 Fifth Street, Beaver at Francis Farmer Apartments, Community Room, 274 Friendship Circle, Beaver, PA 15009 Proposed forms of contract documents, including Plans and Specifications are being distributed, with twenty-four-hour prior notice of pick-up, by Haus Company, 921 Ridge Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, by phone (412) 231-7700 or fax (412)231-7709. All prime bidders are REQUIRED to buy the full set of plans and specifications. Contact Haus Company for cost of plans and specifications. Free examination of said documents are available at the office of Canzian/Johnston & Associates LLC and Pennsylvania Builders Exchange. DEPOSITS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. Plans and specifications are available on Thursday, September 16, 2021. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER, U.S. Government Bonds or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable securities in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. All required Contract Documents must be completed and submitted with the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance, labor and material, and maintenance bonds of 100% with good and sufficient surety, and will be required to provide same within ten (10) days of contract award. Prior to award of any contract the Housing Authority will conduct a pre-contract survey of a Bidder’s past performance. Consideration will be given to such matters as bidder’s integrity, compliance with the public policy, record of past performance, and financial and technical resources. EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for Federally-assisted Construction Contracts. The Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sexual preference, handicap or national origin. The work to be performed under this contract is subject Section 3 Compliance. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Francis Farmer Apartments, 274 Friendship Circle, Beaver MASKS ARE REQUIRED, TEMPERATURES WILL BE TAKEN AND SOCIAL DISTRANCING IS REQUIRED. The HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER reserves the right to reject all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Award of this contract is contingent on funds available. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to opening bids without the consent of the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER.
