INVITATION TO BIDDERS
SEALED PROPOSALS addressed to Tri Pointe Homes DFW, LLC. on behalf of Midlothian Municipal Management District No. 2 for construction of the Frontage Road Improvements at Presidential Parkway, LJA Job No. NT360-0068, will be received electronically via https://bids.lja.com, until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 and then publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders must register on this website to submit an electronic bid. Contractors will electronically enter into the bid proposal, found at https://bids.lja.com, their proposed pricing and upload only the bid security. Electronic bids do not include bids submitted by telegraphic or facsimile transmission. The bids will be publicly opened at the office of the Engineer, LJA Engineering, Inc., 6060 N. Central Expressway, Suite 400, Dallas, Texas 75206 at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021.
Bidders may elect to submit hard copy bids to the office of LJA Engineering, Inc., located at 6060 North Central Expressway, Suite 400, Dallas, Texas 75206.
The Developer, Tri Pointe Homes DFW, LLC., will be the Payor for the contract for the Owner.
Copies of the Plans and Specifications may be obtained from the Engineer for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set. The plans, specifications and bid documents will be available at https://bids.lja.com by Thursday, September 9, 2021. It is the downloader’s responsibility to determine that a complete set of documents, as defined in the Instructions to Bidders are received. This website will be updated periodically with Addenda, Plan Holders List, additional reports or other information relevant to bidding the project.
Tri Pointe Homes DFW, LLC. on behalf of Midlothian Municipal Management District No. 2 will hold a NON-MANDATORY pre-bid conference on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the office of the Engineer, LJA Engineering, Inc., located at 6060 North Central Expressway, Suite 400, Dallas, Texas 75206.
Tri Pointe Homes DFW, LLC. on behalf of Midlothian Municipal Management District No. 2 reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board’s judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. (Texas Water Code 49.273)
Bid security in the form of bid bond or cashier’s check payable to Tri Pointe Homes DFW, LLC. on behalf of Midlothian Municipal Management District No. 2 in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid submitted, must accompany each Bid.
The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply to this Bid and/or Contract and bidder/contractor agrees that the Contract can be terminated if the bidder/contractor knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter.
Bidder/Contractor declares that it has not received from a governmental body a notice of noncompliance with a provision of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Texas Government Code, or, if such notice has been received, bidder/contractor has taken adequate steps to ensure future compliance with such subchapter and has provided or upon request will provide documentation of same.
