South-Point Constructors Joint Venture (SPC)

SE Connector Design-Build Project Design and Professional Services

South-Point Constructors, a joint venture between Kiewit Infrastructure South Co. and Austin Bridge & Road, has been conditionally selected as the successful proponent to deliver TxDOT’s SE Connector Design Build Project. The Southeast Connector is a design-build Project in the Fort Worth District consisting of approximately 16.6 miles of non-tolled improvements to I-20 from Forest Hill Drive to Park Springs Boulevard, to I-820 from I-20 to Brentwood Stair Road, and to US 287 from Bishop Street to Sublett Road. The Project components include the design, construction and maintenance of the roadways.
SPC is soliciting qualifications from firms certified (or eligible for certification) as Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the Texas Unified Certification Program (TUCP) who are interested in performing design/professional services scopes on the project. Design scopes include Roadway Design, Noise Wall Design, Drainage Design, Structures Design, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SW3P), Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), and Signing and Pavement Markings.

Qualifications Forms and required attachments must be submitted no later than 4pm (CST) January 14, 2022.

SPC will be conducting an Outreach and Information Session on January 4, 2022 at 1pm CST to provide an overview of the project, current design/professional services scope opportunities, and our subconsultant agreement. The SE Connector Project will include a broad range of design sub-consultant opportunities starting in 2022. Over the full duration of the project, additional professional services and construction subcontracting opportunities will be available for firms interested in participating on the project. SPC will strive to assist small and disadvantaged firms through aligning scopes of work with local resources including providing economically feasible bid packages.
