New Chinese Economic Data Sets To Be Released
CHINA
Keep an eye on many data sets China will release tonight or in China Monday, including first-quarter GDP figures and March figures for industrial production, retail sales, and the labor market.
These will provide new insights into how the Ukraine conflict and the worst virus wave since the pandemic’s inception are affecting the world’s second largest economy.
The People’s Bank of China will decide on its Loan Prime Rate (LPR) later this week, after leaving its Medium-Term Lending Facility Rate, which is seen as a guide for the LPR, unchanged for the third month in a row on April 15th, despite Beijing’s pleas for more stimulus.
