NOTICE INVITING BIDS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority A. Concrete Flat Work and B. Flume Repair located within the MAJSA Wastewater Treatment Plant, will be received by the Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority online via the PennBid Program until April 20, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. local time, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. Each project will stand on its own; the Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority may choose to complete both of the projects on the Bid Schedule or any part of the Bid Schedule or select separate Contractors for each project. Thereafter, bid results will be available online at http://PennBid.ProcureWare.com. The Work to be constructed hereunder is located at the Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority WWTP, 290 Morio Drive, Mountaintop, PA 18707, in the Township of Dorrance, Luzerne County, and as described in the Contract Documents. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining and paying for any required permits as described in the Contract Documents. The Work comprises of the reconstruction of A. Concrete Flat Work which shall be marked and shown for the mandatory pre-bid walkthrough on April 1, 2022 at 10:00 A.M., as well as the B. Flume Repair, which consists of the installation of a polyurea coating inside of two flume channels, workmanship and all appurtenances for a complete job in accordance with the Contract Documents. Each project will stand on its own; the Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority may choose to complete both of the projects on the Bid Schedule or any part of the Bid Schedule or select separate Contractors for each project. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price, payable to the Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly obtain the required Bonds and Insurance, prepare the required submittal documents and execute the Agreement. All bids shall remain irrevocable for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of Bid opening. Successful bidder will be required to post a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of the bid price. Bids shall be submitted upon forms furnished by the Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority. A full set of Contract Documents is available for inspection, without charge, at the Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority Office, 290 Morio Drive, Mountaintop, PA 18707 or at the office of the Engineer, Peters Consultants, Inc., 100 Robbins Avenue, Berwick, PA 18603. Contract Documents may be obtained either electronically at no cost at http://PennBid.ProcureWare.com, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to the project.
